After the sad passing of our wonderful Queen here in the UK and the Commonwealth, I wanted to commemorate her life by designing a crochet hat pattern for you all to enjoy 

Balmoral Castle in Scotland was one of our Queen's favourite places to stay and we have enjoyed visiting Balmoral many times ourselves. So here I give you the ‘Balmoral Bobble Beanie’!

Crocheted using a soft and squishy chunky yarn (USA bulky weight) (AUS 10 ply). The hat is worked from top down, using a combination of half treble stitches and bobble stitches.

I have chosen a warm and cosy yarn called King Cole Tweed Chunky, most chunky yarns of a similar thickness may also be used. A soft, warm, springy hat with lots of stretch, designed with comfort and warmth in mind 😊
