This rather cute baby Jacket has been crocheted using DK yarn (AUS 8 ply) (USA light worsted).

My First Hoodie is a great crochet pattern for the Beginner and the more experienced crocheter alike. Just like my other crocheted cardigan patterns, this beautiful Jacket is worked in one piece, with no parts to sew together, whoopie! My favourate kind of jacket pattern! :-)

Designed with comfort in mind, this roomy jacket is fairly loose fitting to easily go over babies layers. It has a smart button through front and a cute cosy hood to keep babies ears warm and snug.

Love it!

Wow, this pattern is beautiful and I cannot wait to gift it to a very special person in my life whose little girl is due in October. This is the first time I have made an item of clothing in crochet and this pattern made it so easy. The fact it is made all in one, no sewing up to do, made it even more of a pleasure to create. Thank you once again Kerry for such a fantastic pattern. I made this in a coral and pale salmon colour and it looks stunning. Once again your pattern was easy to follow, instructions precise and love the photos, which really do help if you are a beginner like me. Booties next, starting them tonight as finished the hoodie at lunchtime! Keep those patterns coming...

This is the first time that I've followed one of your patterns and I'm absolutely thrilled with the way that the design has turned out. I love the fact that it starts with the neck/yoke and doesn't need any 'tedious sewing up' at the end of the work ;-)! I've made it - in Buttermilk/White - for my friend's new grandchild and the mother of the baby is so pleased with it.

I've since ordered quite a few more patterns. Thank you for the way that we can print out just the pages that we need when we receive our Downloads.

Is there a pattern for 2-3 year olds as would love to do another for my older grandson?

Hi Marie, thank you for taking the time to give such a lovely review. Although My First Hoodie does not go up to 2-3 years the Freedom Jacket does. I will be adding more sizes to the cardigans as soon as possible.

Beautiful hooded jacket

I love Kerry Jayne’s designs and patterns. They are so easy to follow with the photo tutorials in the pattern. I made this jacket all in white for my grand daughter who is due in January. I used King Cole Cherished which is such a squishy soft baby yarn and the jacket has come out beautifully. Now making some matching bootees with the bobtail bootee pattern, also highly recommended.
