The poolside granny square was an idea I had whilst on holiday in Spain lying beside a beautiful blue pool. Looking at the pretty blue tiles, I thought this pattern would make a lovely baby blanket. :-)
The Poolside granny blanket has been crocheted from a soft 100% cotton Dk / light worsted weight yarn using three colors, it would be equally as good in an acrylic yarn. The blanket may also be made with other yarn weights such as worsted weight (UK aran) along with the appropriate hook size. The squares are crocheted together using an easy ‘join as you go method’. The blanket is finished with an easy and neat little border.

King Cole 100% cotton DK / light worsted weight acrylic yarn, all colors are listed.
Other light worsted yarns in cotton or acrylic may be used for this blanket such as Stylecraft Special DK, Paintbox Dk, James C. Brett Dk or anything else you like!
Can be adjusted and made in any size to fit your requirements simply by making more granny squares.
This pattern is for a crib, pram, stroller size baby blanket 26 x 22" But can be made to any size.
